Angela Gossow Urach
Angela Gossow was born to Christian parents in Cologne, Germany, and was the youngest of three siblings. She was 17 when her parents separated. After their company collapsed her family was faced with more difficulties with her finances. Being bulimic and anorexic contributed to her problems. About her decision to step down as ARCH ENEMY's singer Gossow said simply There's an appropriate time and space for every thing. My professional career started in 1991. My enthusiasm for living on the road was fading. Instead of feigning it I quit, I decided to stop. The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva who was replaced by German singer Angela Gossow in 2000.
