Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio-Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993 is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He is referred to as "the King of Contemporary Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation of Puerto Rican urban artists. His debut studio album, Afrodisiaco was released in November 2020. Vice Versa was his follow-up studio album. The lead single, "Todo de Ti", was released in June 2021. From 12 nominations, he has won two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on January 10, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. [4][5] Alejandro's father guitar player Raul OcasioRuiz, and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to numerous of his musical influences like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Chris Brown. Alejandro and his dad lived for many years in the United States. They mainly settled in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel, who is a other Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood acquaintances. They both attended the same high school and shared classes. 9/10/10 Alejandro was a part of school talent shows in his early years since he was a lover of dancing. He was enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico after the completion of high school. He was a soccer player between six and twenty. He eventually resigned after stating that he couldn't perform as expected. He relocated to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted in the Premier Development League (PDL), but eventually was unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro is renowned for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that his music "set his music distinct" from the growing group of Reggaetones who are influenced by pop. Presley and Jackson influenced him early on and were later followed by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. [24He also cites Ciara for being his musical inspiration.
